1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to website operators.

This Cookie Policy explains how Kube Finance Limited (trading as Kube Pay) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website at kubepay.co.uk and on our payment pages. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy at kubepay.co.uk/privacy.

By continuing to use our website after being shown our cookie consent banner, you consent to the use of non-essential cookies as described in this policy. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies. The table below sets out the specific cookies in use on each category.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website and payment flow to function. They cannot be disabled because they are required for core security and session management. No consent is required for these cookies under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

2.3 Analytics Cookies

2.4 Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies track your activity across websites to help deliver relevant advertising. We currently use limited marketing cookies and will update this section when additional advertising tools are deployed. These cookies are only set with your explicit consent.

3. Similar Tracking Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use similar tracking technologies on our platform:

Local Storage: Used to store small amounts of data in your browser to maintain payment state across page reloads. This data does not leave your device unless explicitly transmitted by our application.

Session Storage: Temporary storage cleared when you close your browser tab, used to maintain payment flow state.

Pixels / Tracking Tags: Small invisible images or scripts that may be included by third-party analytics or advertising tools. Used only with your consent where non-essential.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options for managing cookies:

Cookie Consent Tool: When you first visit kubepay.co.uk, you will be shown a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies by category. You can revisit and change your preferences at any time by clicking the ‘Cookie Settings’ link in the footer of our website.

Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the payment flow from working correctly. Guidance for common browsers is available at: allaboutcookies.org.

Google Analytics Opt-Out: You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data across all websites using the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Do Not Track: Some browsers send a ‘Do Not Track’ (DNT) signal. We currently honour DNT signals for analytics cookies where technically feasible.

5. Cookies on Payment Pages

Our payment pages are hosted within the Kube Pay platform and use strictly necessary cookies only. When you are redirected to your bank’s own authorisation interface to approve a payment, you leave the Kube Pay environment and your bank’s own cookie policy applies.

Payment-related session cookies are deleted at the end of the payment journey or when you close your browser, whichever is sooner. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies on payment pages.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our website are set by third parties whose services we have embedded (such as analytics providers). We do not control these third-party cookies and their use is governed by the respective third party’s privacy and cookie policies.

Where third-party services process personal data outside the UK or EEA, appropriate transfer safeguards are in place as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes to our platform, or changes in applicable law. Any material changes will be notified to you via the cookie consent banner on your next visit to our website. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document indicates when the most recent revision was made.
