1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules governing the use of the Kube Pay platform and Payment Services by Merchants. It applies to all Merchant account holders and must be read alongside our Payment Services Terms and Conditions.
As an agent of Wonderful Payments Ltd (trading as Asima), FCA No. 964289, we are required to maintain an AUP that reflects the obligations of an FCA-authorised Payment Institution and the standards required under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, the Payment Services Regulations 2017, and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
2. Permitted Use
The Kube Pay platform may be used to collect legitimate business payments from customers for genuine goods and services, including but not limited to:
Trade and construction services (e.g. builders, plumbers, electricians, decorators)
Vehicle repair and servicing
Healthcare and aesthetics services
Retail of goods (furniture, flooring, home improvements)
Professional services (accountancy, consulting, design)
Education and training services
Events and hospitality
Charitable collections (subject to prior approval)
Use cases not listed above are not automatically prohibited. If you are uncertain whether your business model is permitted, contact us at compliance@kubepay.co.uk before onboarding.
3. Prohibited Business Types
The following business types and transaction categories are strictly prohibited on the Kube Pay platform. This list is maintained in line with the requirements of Wonderful Payments Ltd (Asima) and applicable UK financial regulation. Onboarding any of the following will result in immediate account termination.

| Adult Content | Pornography, adult entertainment platforms, escort services |
| Controlled Substances | Recreational drugs, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication without valid prescription, SARMs, unregulated supplements |
| Weapons and Dangerous Goods | Firearms, ammunition, explosives, knives (where prohibited), items restricted under UK export control |
| Counterfeit Goods | Fake branded goods, pirated software or media, counterfeit documents |
| Financial Crime | Money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, sanctions evasion, unauthorised financial promotion |
| High-Risk Telemarketing | Cold-call operations, advance fee fraud, prize notification scams |
| Age-Restricted Products (unverified) | Alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, fireworks sold without appropriate age verification |
| Politically Exposed Activities | Political party fundraising, lobbying services (unless pre-approved) |
| Unlicensed Professional Services | Legal advice, financial advice, medical services provided without applicable licences or registrations |
4. Prohibited Transaction Types
Regardless of the business type, the following transaction types are prohibited on the Kube Pay platform:
Transactions with no legitimate underlying commercial purpose
Transactions used to layer, place, or integrate criminal proceeds
Transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions (as listed by OFSI, the UN, or the EU)
Split transactions designed to circumvent transaction monitoring or AML controls
Transactions initiated on behalf of a third party without disclosure
Refunds or reverse payments not supported by the platform’s refund mechanism
Peer-to-peer personal transfers unrelated to a commercial transaction
5. Transaction Monitoring
All transactions processed through the Kube Pay platform are subject to real-time and retrospective transaction monitoring in accordance with our AML obligations and the requirements of Wonderful Payments Ltd (Asima) as our regulated principal.
Where unusual or suspicious activity is detected, we may suspend your account without notice, request additional information or documentation, file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the National Crime Agency (NCA), and/or terminate your account. We are prohibited by law from disclosing to you that a SAR has been filed.
6. Consequences of Breach
Breach of this AUP may result in:
Immediate suspension or termination of your Kube Pay account
Reporting to Wonderful Payments Ltd (Asima) and regulatory authorities including the FCA, HMRC, and the NCA
Recovery of any losses, costs, fines, or regulatory penalties incurred by Kube Finance Limited or Wonderful Payments Ltd as a result of the breach
Civil or criminal proceedings where appropriate
7. Reporting Concerns
If you believe a transaction on the Kube Pay platform may be fraudulent or suspicious, or if you have concerns about a fellow Merchant’s activity, please contact us immediately at compliance@kubepay.co.uk.
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports made in good faith will be treated confidentially.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time to reflect changes in applicable law, the requirements of Wonderful Payments Ltd (Asima) as our regulated principal, or changes to our platform and risk appetite. Material changes will be notified to Merchants via email with at least 14 days’ notice.
